Enable two factor authentication in order to increase security when receiving sensitive files from others

Updated over 6 years ago

If you need to receive sensitive material from other people you can enable two factor authentication for these transfers.

This means that people send you files using your own filemail page (e.g. yourcompany.filemail.com) like they normally do - but you (as the receiver) cannot download the files without a password. Filemail will generate a password for the transfer and send it to you via SMS - meaning that you have to have access to both your email/filemail account and your phone (SMS) in order to get the files.

Go to https://www.filemail.com/companysettings#security in order to enable this feature for extra security.

The cost for sending SMS'es are USD 0.3 - this will be billed on a monthly basis.
