Can Filemail recover my files?

Answer: Yes - sometimes!

Files sent with Filemail often have an expiry date. When this date is reached, the files are permanently deleted from our servers. We do however keep backups for a tad longer - so in some cases we are able to recover files from our backup systems.

If you visit a download page where files have recently expired - you'll see this message:Β

Cost and Refund Policies for File Recovery

Cost of File Recovery Service:

  • The recovery service is priced at $30 per transfer.

  • You will only be charged if the recovery is successful.

Refund Policies:

  • Filemail.com ensures no charges are applied for unsuccessful recovery attempts. This "no success, no charge" policy provides transparency and builds trust, allowing users to request recovery services worry-free.

  • If you decide not to recover the files after the service has been completed, reimbursement is not available.

We'll do our best to recover your files, but there are no guarantees. If we are unable to recover the files then you won't pay anything πŸ‘ If the download page says that the file cannot be recovered - then there is no way we can recover it. Please ask the sender to resend the files. This aligns with Filemail's "no success, no charge" guarantee, ensuring that users are only charged for successful recoveries.

Post-Recovery Support and Troubleshooting

If you have paid for a file recovery but have not received the recovered files:

  1. Check the email account associated with your recovery request, including the spam/junk folder, for the recovery email.

  2. Ensure you are checking the correct email address used during the request process.

  3. If you still cannot locate the recovery email, contact Filemail.com support for further assistance.
