Filemail Portals

Portals are customizable pages in Filemail that let anyone send you files easily without needing a Filemail account.

Updated this week

Perfect for receiving files from clients, partners, or collaborators in a secure and professional way.

Key Benefits

  • No account needed: External users can send files directly to you.

  • Custom branding: Configure fields, recipients, and descriptions to match your needs.

  • Streamlined workflow: Files arrive directly in your chosen team inbox or recipient.

  • Flexible retention: Decide how long received files stay available.

How It Works

  1. Create a Portal: Give it a descriptive name.

  2. Share the Link: A unique public link is generated for your portal.

  3. Receive Files: Senders simply visit the link, fill in the form, and upload files.

  4. Automatic Delivery: Files are routed to your chosen recipients and easily accessible in their Portal inbox

Powerful Features

  • Recipient Management
Add your team members as recipients and decide who should be selected by default.

  • Custom Fields
Collect the information you need by adding custom input fields.

  • Configurable Expiry
Control how long received files remain accessible — from 1 week to forever.

  • Password Protect your Portal pages individually so only authorized users can send files to your recipients through it.

  • Easily set up File Requests by clicking "Create File Request" on any Portal page and invite users to submit files to it. You can later see all File Requests sent and which was responded to.
